Sony says that with the Firmware update "A function for manually adding cover art images to albums has been added". I can't find any setting in walkman and adding a jpg in the folder still doesnt help.. Do you guys know what this means?

Hey friends,

Been looking to buy a ZX300A after my so many WM1A adventures.

However Joybuy is now out of stock, and I found this site over Taobao which states a promotional price of 2599 - 350 = 2250 yuan, but I do not know how to buy it, as the promotion is stated over a picture for which I cannot use Google Translate.

Is there any Mandarin speaker friend to shortly help understand if I can buy it at that price?
It shows a brand new ZX300A for a crazy price of $284.

I don't see it at that price, the cheapest is about USD 297.

You can buy it if you live in china , Hong Kong, Macau and a few more Asian countries, or use a shipping agent, which will buy from Taobao for you.

I really wish this damn thing had actual line out. My fiio x3i sounds better running it's line out to my sx1010, then the zx300 does double amping even with the custom 4.4 to rca cables I made. Oh well, guess I need to find a stand alone Dac that bests the zx300 while retaining it's analogue sound. R2R nos dac I'm guessing. Yal got any of them mhdts lying around you want to give up for a small fee?

I bought the cable that attaches the ZX300 to my Chord DACs. Perfect. (Expensive though.)

That's a digital line out, I have that cable, all that does is make the zx300 a transport. I'm talking about analog line out, thus bypassing the amp section and just using the internal dac. The sony is one chip for both amp/dac, I wonder if they have a way of making it do analog line out, but I'm going to guess no since they haven't implemented that yet. Doesn't really matter anyways as I need a stand alone Dac anyway, would just be icing on the cake if I could use the zx300 as a dac only, outputting to an external amp without double amping.

Question:
Earlier when i used to plug something in the volume would adjust itself if it was too much. I dont see that happening any more. Am i missing something?

mine only adjust the volume if I switch over from 4.4 to 3.5 and vice-versa.

Test it out again, and see if that is the case.

Went for a long walk today and took ZX300 with me. Such a good sounding dap.

I know the sound signature is not as good as the Mojo, in SE at least. I find the sound-stage exactly the same as I found on my Meridian Explorer. Kind of triangular with longer sloping sides. Whereas the Mojo fills the sides out more; it's more evenly spread, and wider.

The tonality of the ZX300 is good though, and it makes a strong effort overall. Since battery life is very good I also never worry when setting off out. Sometimes I have vague doubts and sometimes think, maybe I should pursue the Poly with Mojo. Then days like today remind me that I need nothing more than the ZX300. Plus it pairs so easily with my DACs, that the ZX300 is priceless to me.
