Hi guys,
Just a question please.
I own Shure Se425 actually and i’m tempted to buy some « more bassy » iem.
I’m looking for the Shure Se535/Westone Um Pro 50 or W40...
What is the more « bassy » of them please ?
I want a lot of bass with direct audio (no audio medication ^^).
Please help cause some says umpro50 have bass and some others says the contrary ^^
Good day audio lovers
I bought the 535's because Tyll highly recommended them, that's when I realised you can get an idea (vague in this case) from others but won't really know until you try something yourself.
I've had no problem with Westones, my w60's fit me perfectly (and the W30 and Um Pro 30's). Shure's fit is good but Westone's just edge them out, though I understand the 846 are quite big. Some iem's from other manufacturers are massive in comparison I think I would be constantly adjusting them.
I started off using headphones but for a while have switched to iem's, they're less power hungry sound better in most cases plus I don't look like a Cyberman
On my way to pick up a brand new ZX300 replacement unit at a local service center after they failed to repair my previous one. It's been a grueling couple of months waiting for it to be repaired but after passing a month without success on repair, it's automatically considered "for replacement" with a new one. I hope everything will be fine and the unit be defect free.

Congrats! I hope the new unit works out for you. I really love my ZX300. If there were one thing I'd complain about it's that the text in the menus is a little too small for my eyes. Apart from that, I love it more every day.

Thanks! It's worth the wait. Even though I've heard the sound of this and the WM1A, I'm still accustomed to less warm sounding devices like my AUNE M1s, Opus#1 and LG V20. I kind of like the switch. The impact and overall resolution definitely are worthy upgrades. Though the soundstage on this is slightly less in width but with good depth.
Man, I gotta say, I love my t50rp build balanced on the zx300. I've spent several nights immersed in music, although at around 100 on volume high gain. It sounds very good. I've heard them "technically better", meaning more controlled bass, treble detail, etc. BUT, the timbre and warmth the zx300 gives them is so addicting. I need to get a stand alone Dac that has this sig to put before my sx1010, I'm really guessing an mhdt tube buffered dac is what will do it, but that's just a guess. Realistically, I'm not even sure if I want and upgrade to run full sized from. The pairing is thus far enough for me to just enjoy the music. I haven't felt any need on my iem front for any sort of an upgrade, the ex1000 pairing balanced is so perfect for me. Only thing I kind of want is to go to a wm1a for more power and battery life, but it's not necessary for now.
