SONY NW-ZX2

As the Hugo only offers single ended output, I'll have to decide whether it is worth me frequently swapping leads on my SE846 iems, quite apart from the difficulty in obtaining a balanced lead for the ZX-2 output in the UK.
Best option will be if I can obtain some plugs to fit the SE846, or perhaps butcher a stock lead.

Just order an adapter off eBay
Edit-I just remembered they're both 3.5 inputs. You don't need to change the lead, do you?

There is option for custom cables with good quality in EU, check Forzaaudioworks form Poland.
I ordered custom TRRS balanced cabble foe ZX2 and my JVC FX1100 iems, will arrive this week, cannot wait...:)
It will be the same needed as for your 846.

Also plan to order some matching adapters, in order not to remove iem cables, and use JVC and with other souses.
I do not trust these MMCX connectors for reliability over time.

To be honest, I'd stop worrying about it. The DAC in the ZX-2 is so good that any improvements using even the Hugo are absolutely minimal. The Dacmagic is not as good as the ZX-2 DAC
. Just plug the analogue out from the ZX-2 into your preamp and enjoy the music.

Line out from ZX2 is with too low volume, i need to set a lot amplification in all preamps that I consented it with, and IMHO ruins the impression form the lovely DAC in the SONY.

I bought a Fiio L5 cable to test it, and as many respectable members here complain,it is too low.

Thanks! Finally picked one up.

Do I remember correctly that I have to create a folder called "Music" on the card?

You're welcome.
You can create Music or if you have ZX2 format it for you.  You will have the following:
DCIM
Picture
Video
Music

Any idea on an adapter that would work well with this 2.5 TRRS cable? It's already L shaped so it should be straight and short.

What do you want to do with this earphone cable in connection with the ZX2?

Use it with my IEMs. Won't it work?

It says in the description it is for balanced earphones.  Do you have balanced earphones?
