The microdetails on this player is still slightly lacking compared to the top dogs from Ibasso, AK, Hifiman and Calyx.
But the price and battery life of the player make up for it.

depends on how much time you have with it, i had similar impression "it sounds just like my A17 i am so underwhelmed, I wanna return it!!!" but let burn-in magic do its Expecto Patronum and it's a charm right now

At least 300 hours already.
Some of my ex players didnt even have such long of a burn in time too.
24 hrs in a day, thats like 12 days of non stop listening.

i also collect plenty of albums before, but i find my self just skipping some tracks, so i listen again
to the albums and just choose the one i like, end up saving plenty of space on my laptop. i only keep 16/44 flacs and some MP3s

In this sony classical album i got a cool conclusions masterings are different... sony classical (re)master of allegro from concerto for two violins in D minor, is brighter than the original by CBS Masterworks which i have the complete album dont remmeber the date of CBS one but this one is from 1994

EDIT:

CBS Masterworks (Original): 1990 -  Full work BWV 1043 and also BWV 1060
Sony Classical Greatest Hits Bach REMASTER: 1994 only allegro from BWV 1043

CBS sounds Darker and bassier than the sony remaster
