ZX100 sound wise is a slight noticeable upgrade from ZX1. So it is still far from being on par with ZX2.

ZX1 is kept in the product line

Well so I can get better SQ if coming from the A10 series I read that the OSCONs are better than the POSCAPs in the A10 series

Will the Japanese ZX100 come with an English language menu too?  Please do let us know.

I can say with fair certainty it won't. None of them have in the past near 10 years with the Walkman OS. The Android ones? Yes - English and Japanese only (no other languages).

me too, hence the reason i am hoping for a miracle.

Price aside (thank you Yen to dollar ratio - hope to pick my ZX100 up when in Japan in November if I can hold out that long ... probably from the Bic Camera in Ikebukuro), the only real reason to get the Japanese these days is if you want ATRAC support. If you live in the EU, maybe the volume cap issue. Beyond that, if you don't need ATRAC, from a feature perspective, there's no real value I can think of to get the Japanese for most people. Sony hasn't put the ZX100 back up on the US site which is troubling, but at the same time, not surprising, so US folks may need to wind up getting it elsewhere. It's not on the Canadian site, either (but the ZX1 still is).

Having owned enough Japanese Walkman products, I'm OK with no English option. It's not rocket science to operate. Since I still have ATRAC files, it's a no brainer for me to get the Japanese.
