Sony NW-A55 volume too low?

I just got this (EU version), disabled the volume limiter, volume gets to 120 which is maximum. I find it too low. Is this thing broken?!

AVLS (Volume Limit) - unchecked the box

What is “beep settings” - it is checked now.

You can change region and disable volume limitation with the rockbox tool: https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SonyNWDestTool

The Japan region version has no volume capping, which was placed on Europe version cause of their EU laws. So after I did change my version to Japanese region, yeah it got louder.
