Sony MZ-R909 review

Yes, the only time I've used anything but the SP mode was to lump together a bunch of Firesign Theatre (all speech) recordings into one five hour MD. That was very handy. Extended play times on MD with high fidelity would be lovely, however. But I'll always take quality over quantity with audio. I can't even deal with LP2.

Ah, Firesign Theatre..."The Adventures of Nick Danger, Third Eye", "I Think We're All Bozos On This Bus", et al! Funny stuff and it takes me back.

I hadn't heard Firesign Theater in 20 years. Downloaded ALL the albums from Audiogalaxy. You know what...the stuff is STILL a damn headtrip. They were bizarre ahead of their time and it still works. There's one album, must be newer, where someone get's lost in a video game. Classic Firesign stuff; clever, funny and freakin weird. The next best thing to heavy drugs. (I didn't say that I would never recommend that anyone take drugs - except for earwax removal

Yeah, there was a whole lot of "earwax removal" going on in those days!
