Sony MdrQ55 any good?

If you can get them for significantly less than the posted retail price, yes. Otherwise, I'd just as well keep looking of KSC35/75s.

I got a set of those for $15, which isn't too bad for a set of clip-ons. However, as clip-ons go, they are bit uncomfortable, gets in the way of sun/glasses, and much too heavy. And they are short cord versions, so the use of extensions are a must.

I'd pass, unless you can get them very cheap.

Errrrgghh! At the full $30 price, the MDR-Q55SL is WAY overpriced for the sound quality that it delivers! And the Q55 earclips fit poorly on many people's ears (including my own), resulting in a thin, shrill sound.

Though I don't care much for the Sony MDR-EX## series buds (including the EX81), either. Their bass is flabby and one-noted; their treble is shrill and piercing; their mids withdrawn.
