Hi all,
I listen to an alround selection of genres, but late night i put on Classic fm ( in the UK), and my goodness yes these phones are good with classical, BUT, i have just swapped the stock cable for a Norne Audio Silver Draug and the difference is huge, the soundstage opens way out, the sound is cleaner and clearer, you are holding your listening pleasure back by using stock honestly.

Hello to you
The Z1R is with many good features and 1- not so much 3KHZ + ZING IN FEW CDS

My equipment is PHONITOR 2 amplifier
Maranz SA11CD
Cable is NEOTECH

And I also have the Sony KIMBER cable

My work mode is FULL BAL ........IN TO OUT

In order to achieve a sound balance that has improved remarkably
At the time of purchase a year ago
That way I can hear any kind of music and especially classical music
Different genres without problem

In my humble opinion the Z1R for me IS MACH ON TO HER THE JOY OF MUSIC BUT ... NOT WHAT IS through the HD800 3 IN DEFERNT NO....S I HED
And I sold the LUXMAN P-1U that did not fit

SONY Z1R IS FOR ME NOW THE BEST....
ALSO HE400I
Jesus Christ man, how are we supposed to undertand you ?!

Happy New Year
I'll be happy to answer you
On each question in great detail
SONY ES
If you are the israeli who made the Youtube video comparing the Z1r to the HD800S, I must say it’s great. Your style and accent are addictive !
Have you heard the Hifiman edition x version 2?

Thank you very much for watching&Compliment I tried very hard ....
Yes ......I am the Israeli who made the film IL IN YOUTUBE
Yes...... I have the HE V2
+HE400I+
W1000X AT
The sound is amazing V2
But I will probably refer to another time I do not have the 800 to compare
One thing is clear they do not have the openness that there is Z1R + HD800
But must say a lot depends on a lot of factors
Most important cables + amplifier like PHONITOR 2
SPL
Source Sound and Audio NAIM DAC
Or SA-11 S1 and more such as SUPERB recording

BEST REGARDS

Are you still enjoying the Z1r in classical music ?
Some poeple talk about it being fatiguing after a while because of some 10k peak.
I will try to answer briefly
I do enjoy the Z1R
But I have a problem I do not know to if it is
3-4KHZ
OR
10KHZ
There are indeed certain recordings that make me really uncomfortable because my right ear is like 20 years old
But left as 60 .......
has decreased by 4-6KHZ
-25-30DB
By the way, the day after tomorrow, you do a hearing test
Days without headphones ... .....
Once there OHCH is and sometimes is not .
what leads me to hear
In HE 400I OR
The newer HE EV2

In some recordings there is no trace of this irritating sound
But in the recordings mainly DGG exists and very very OPEN sometimes but disappears depending on the composition and
The equipment is NAIM DAC + DIN OUT CORD CHORUS 2
SPL PHONITOR 2 AMP
DENON DCD-3560C Transport
CD source
That's why it does not exist all the time but it exists 100%
I can not tell which frequency
In HE E-V2 I have no such problem
And hears all the details of headphones SA GOOD AS Z1R BUT NOY THE SUPER HIGH NOTS
I almost bought HE-1000 V2
But for the openness I have the amazing Z1R
But in order to really get the best out of them Z1R
SONY
had to create
Larger amplifier faster!!!!
That's why I chose SPL to work for PuLL Balance
IN / OUT
Newotec 3001 cables for headphones
A fast, strong and transparent amplifier SPL P-2
And most importantly, another neutral
The Z1R basses go up in the mid-range frequencies IN BAD AMP

Only after all this is a lot of money to get to where I am today

After a year with the amazing SONY Z1R headphones

THEY ARE SOUPERB

Incredible that it happens that you have also the Hifiman!!!!!
Thanks a lot for the responses!!!!!!

So now for classical music if you had to choose between the Sony and Hifiman ?
Maybe Hifiman is better because NEVER fatiguing ? And a bit punchier?
Perhaps separation is better in Hifiman?
Strings maybe better in Hifiman?
Also Hifiman being an open back = more natural tone ?

I use MY MDR-Z1R with a sony NW-WM1A in balanced mode mainly because it sounds best and because 4.4mm offers native DSD decoding
