I'm still not impressed with the XB1000 at all.

 
Hoping the bass increases with burn in or something, because the bass lacks presence compared to the XB700.
 
@sunnystefan - If you like the bass of your D1100 you will probably be disappointed by the XB1000. I've been switching between the D1100, XB1000 and XB700 and the bass of the XB1000 is just not satisfying to me in comparison.

I have just got my xb1000 from accessoryjack, they have better bass compared to beats headphones. Mine leaks a lot even in low volume, how is yours? Does your one leak at all?

Ofc they leak, take a look at the cups beneath the headband, huge bass port opening for enhanced bass + soundstage, they are semi-closed rather than closed, not quite open-back design but not far away though. You could probably plug it with blutak or whatever but I bet it'll start sounding really bad.

I've not really checked for leakage, but I'd agree with what RPGWizard says. In terms of isolation, fit and comfort I'd say the whole XB range is pretty much the same. I wish the comfort of the headband was equal to the comfort of the earpads though. The headband seriously needs more padding.

Hey, I have checked xb1000 japanese box, it has the "Ultimate deep bass" printed at the front of the box but the one that I bought from Accessoryjack has "Ultimate booming bass". Im wondering if I bought a fake pair and so do you. Does your one has "Ultimate Deep Bass" ?

Mine is like the top box, "Ultimate Booming Bass".
 
Maybe it's just a regional thing? If it's a fake then it's the highest quality fake I've ever seen. Although, the bass is lacking in boom for such a claim!

I would still love to a see a frequency response graph for this on headphone.com to compare to XB500/700. Is this ever gonna get released in US I wonder? I'm pretty sure they would pick em up if it becomes available.

Now that I think about it I'd like a Sony Y1000.  The Z1000 mids and treble w/ XB1000 bass.  That would be a solid phone to put up against the D7000 as a more 'audiophile' type of can.
