Hmm... There is some stiff competition at the $120 price range, but I guess these aren't aimed at us head-fiers anyway.

OMG, I knew they'd release an updated XB series headphone soon due to strong sales but wasn't expecting quite this. Sign me up for one. ^^ 70mm driver is interesting. The design is also better, they've ditched those cheap & thin-looking alu cups. Also the pads looks possibly just tiny bit less thick than on XB700 (which would be a positive thing to me) but those pics may lie a bit regarding that. 
 
Also I like how he describes the bass as tight and punchy. Something in-between XB500 and XB700 probably had been the optimal route to go for this headphone. Hopefully this will be a good new option for bassheads, it looks quite promissing.

i know i could image.. Today on FOX new Sony gets sued for making headphones that have such strong subbass that there were reports of ear bleeding/headaches and TOO MUCH BASS heheh..
