Last longer? probably not.
 
Sound just as bad? absolutely.
 
I had these back when they first came out, got them bundled with a net MD player, they were sonys, and my, first IEM. (iirc)
 
Want to upgrade from ibuds without spending much? Have a look at sennheiser if you like earbuds or soundmagic if you'd prefer IEMs.
