Hey everyone, 2 monts ago i bough a pair of sony 700's, these headphones are notorious for all sorts of problems!! my pair is perfectly fine only that one day the right side stopped working for some reason. i started playing about with the bit where the cable joins the phones and if i turned the cable at a specific point, id get stereo sound again. this means that the problem is cable related but specifically, has the cable snapped at some point or do i need to unscrew the phones and joint the cable up better? headphones are brand new i was so disappointed :P ah well. any suggestions appreciated

hey, I know your thread is ancient and I'm sorry for bumping it from the dead, but I need to take advantage of this opportunity for this is probably the only single piece of headphone knowledge i have. I have the same headphones and had the same problem. What happens is the thin cable that goes over the headband to the other side gets pinched at one, or both sliding length adjusters. take it apart; if the wire is broken replace it, if not move it or tape it down in such a way that it wont interfere with the sliding mechanisms.
