I have my Sony MDR V-6 for just more than one year and lately they started acting weird. When plugged normally they don't play one channel, so for example in some YouTube videos and video games I can only hear background sounds, but no voices. But when I pull the plug out a little (1-2mm) they sound perfectly well. Sadly this trick does not work with my phone.

Should I replace the plug?

I seem to be having a similar problem. Purchased mine from Amazon and received them about a week ago. Trying to decide if I should return/exchange them. When the end of the cable or connector is moved or touched, sound distorts, gets fuzzy and goes in and out. I also noticed the heat shrink tub that goes around the cable (and underneath connector) at the end is open, doesn't seem to be put on properly. Does anyone else have this problem?
