I am kind of caught in-between, and even though I own both the MDR-EX90SL's (from Japan, not the cheap knockoffs), and also the NC22 noise canceling IEM's, if I could only use one, which would it be???
Note that while the EX90's have better all-around range and obviously more bass and richer mid-range, the NC22's pretty much can hold their own, but they also have the advantage of a better noise-isolation design (no vent holes to let in outside noise), but also that of the 12dB of noise canceling as well.
Now I did the EX90 filter mod on the NC22's (obviously removing both the screen and the foam inside) and they sound louder and better than they used to when I first bought them last year, and of course the EX90s sound good straight with extra burn-in, so now the poll lines are open, what would you think?
