Exactly!

 I had similar finsings A/B-ing the GR07 and EX1000, though the GR07 certainly isn't lacking in that regard either.

these are very fun to listen too, and even more so on the LOUDER side! and because of them factors, I really don't notice any real wind issues, no more so than theTF10's that I traded to get these bad boys! and the sound is ssooo engaging, I wind up being more into the music than any kind of wind noises? and even on a day like today, and let me tell you boy oh boy was it ever WINDY outside!

I'm not over compensating at all with the volume vs. any wind issue? I listen to them at the same level of volume with or without any wind "issues?" so there is no insinuated "risk" involved,

and it has nothing to do with them being BA's or DDM's at all, or any lousy little insignifacant PORTiculous!! its the size of them altogether that is the issue, you'll get wind issues with any IEM, I could hear the wind with my RE262's in? I get wind issues even without anything in my ears!

its ALL a matter of being engaged into the music, and not focusing on any (nit picking) flaws, sorry, as you'd put it researching any technical issues? with whatever your enjoying,

I'm sorry your not able to enjoy your 7550's anywhere you go, cuz iz certainly duz, lol, in the park with my friend Mark, or on the the bus with my friend Gus, I luv thoz green eggs and cans,

if a kid is crying in the icecream shop while your eating your sundea, does that make the sundea less enjoyable for you, because technically speaking the aesthetics weren't optimal at the time of transducence! lol, sorry, but its kinda of a funny analogy towards you, lol, oh well whatever,

sorry if this is out of context, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings? I was just speaking towards your comment, and for the thousands of other EX600 users that haven't found any issue with the wind, wwwwoooooosh, sorry don't mean to spoil this post as well, with any windy wording, lol,

Your name..?

Um.... try that track again, concentrate on the difference you think you were hearing, and try the MS, M, ML and also the foamy tip in M.

Just tried again today. the most I listen to it, the more it sounds like the bass violinist doesn't have a bunk instrument but rather fails at timing. Anyway, his/her off-timing-ness produces and annoying buzzing noise in my ear with the MS sized ones. M and ML sizes I can hear the person a lot clearer and isn't annoying, and the foamy noise isolation ones, things feel like they got slightly muddier. Probably the whole needing to sleep bit though. Feels like the MS size seals fine though, really strange I can't tell any difference between M and ML. M still hurts my ears for an extended period of time... Gotta figure out how to fix that.

and thats all!
                        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
but alas, no you don't understand, and I can see that, but go ahead and misinterpret whatever out of context, whatever works for you,
like I said SORRY! that your feelings got hurt
DDM BA's it all the same, wind is wind, its more to do with an ability to simply enjoy something, and getting over our critical phaze in life, but hey thats o.k. I sypathize with you
Just picked up a pair of these. Out of the box, I hate to admit, but the treble is killing me, and I'm a person who enjoys a healthy amount of treble (ER4S is my all time favorite iem.) Other than that, they sound great for $130US. I'm really hoping those sloppy highs calm down though...
! Welcome to the club!!
give them some time to burn in, but with the harsh and sibilant mids, I set my iPod 7th gens EQ to treble reducer, seemed to cut it considerably? but burning them in makes up for alot of it also, and with around the 300 hour mark there still is some subtle mellowing going on?
and with different users, different results? seems like some are fine with it straight out of the box, and others notice significant changes after just a few hours of playtime and still others notice the mids mellowing more so after alot of playtime, I fall into the last catagory,
and I almost sold them because the mids where like glass breaking, mostly on vocals? but with instrumental pieces? simply AWESOME!!
so there is GREAT potential with the 600's, if you can get around some of the -'s,
with some its the fit and isolation, and in finding the right tips? I love and use the modded Head-Direct Lrg Dbl. flanges, anything else for me muddies up the sound, and makes it sound congested? and for a VERY VERY few there is talk about some kind of wind issus? lol, sorry couldn't resist, but the sound for me is 1000x's more engaging for my attention, then to noticing what the wind is or isn't doing,
but the biggest hurdle is with the mids? and when I threw a ZO into the mix, that seemed to take it 45% of the way to where it is now!!! which is AWESOME!!! and now for me its 95% resolved, with just enough left over to put a awesome shine to the sound!!!
so welcome to the club!!! get ready to be EXed, I think Ashton Kutcher might secretly be working at Sony! lol,
IME the EX600's highs can be pretty harsh during the first few hours, but if you still find them unrefined after that, I'd start trying different tips. With a good fit, these should sound anything but obtrusive.
I sure hope so. I'm really enjoying the fact that the nature of the hybrid tips lets a bit of ambient noise in. Just enough for me to wear them at work & still be able to hear my phone ringing. So far, it's the only respectable IEM I've tried that's allowed this.
There are times I love a good bit of real isolation, but unfortunately, I cant be completely shut out from the world at work...
Really quick impressions/update here for those interested:
So my Sunrise Xcape IE arrived today and although I only got a few hours on them of good listening time I know they are here to stay. Right from the box I can't think of another IEM that has struck me this strongly and caused me so much pure musical fun and enjoyment. I ordered the Sunrise since the sound signature seemed like something I might like and I wanted something with a more plain design than the EX600's which my ears still aren't totally agreeing with.
Anyhow, long story short, the EX600 will be returned to Amazon for a refund and the Sunrise are here to stay, they are really astounding me for the price $85~
I will post more in the next day or two regarding actual sonic differences but the form factor/ergonomics of the Sunrise *straight barrel* already gave them a nice edge over the EX600's for my odd shaped ears at least.
I have all 3 with me at the moment. I will never take the IE over the 600 on sound alone, but it sure is more practical. The IE can do certain things more entertaining though because of it's texture. The Realvoice is like somewhere in between in texture but it's a bit drier than both. The Realvoice is growing on me, but I find myself enjoying the IE a lot more. Joker had some build issues with these Sunrise IEMs though, so keep that in mind.
Care to elaborate on the build issues? Nothing was mentioned in his review of the Xcape v1 in the multi-iem review thread so I'm curious as to what issues your talking about. The build quality to me seems to be fine so far, no chin sliders and a straight plug but other than that everything seems to be fine....
As for sound vs. the EX600, I find the EX600 to be slightly, ever so slightly more detailed than the Sunrise Xcape IE. The rest of the differences I have found so far are more attributes of the different sound signatures that each takes on. The EX600 seems to be a bit more airy and spacious in the sound as well as throwing out a slightly larger soundstage. The Sunrise is the opposite, a bit more personal and focused. Also, the Sunrise has some warmth to it while the EX600 seems to be more neutral although still enjoyable.
The big winner however, is the design of the Sunrise since for whatever reason the EX600 does not play nice with my ears. This seems to be a common trend for me actually where straight barrel iem's and Westones are the only universals that seem to fit me well. Things with a slightly more "radical" or different design *EX600, TF10, Eterna's slightly* have given me some fit issues. Also, the lack of wind noise and better isolation are welcome additions.
I used the "3D" equalizer on my Teclast T51 today with my Sony EX600 on a train.
It's the first time the 3D setting on my T51 actually sounded good, or even stretching to really good.
The sound quality suffers a tiny bit (notably in the bass), however the spatiality almost makes me want to commit the sin of using Eq.
