Sony MDR-CD780/2000 - any comments?

The MDR-CD2000 has got a fairly nice review on the recent issue of german STEREO magazine, but I haven't found a lot of detailed comments about its sound here - nor about the sound of what seems to be its not so much worse, but considerably cheaper brother, the MDR-CD780. So can anybody comment on these and perhaps compare them to a K501, DT531, SR80 or HP890?
