Hello,

I just purchased my perfect IEM ever. The sound quality and the comfort is beyond explanation. Its perfect EXCEPT for one thing, the cable.

The cable is THIN and LONG. Since it has removable cable, I was wondering if there is any good quality or braided cables for it ? otherwise whats the point of removable cable ?

I searched so many places but I found 0 cables for this IEM, even on Sony's website!

Please help.

Thanks.

Just signed up for tenso but haven't done the identity confirmation.   I did go ahead and placed the order for the cable through Rakuten even though the store that carries it, e-earphone, said they do not ship to US, but perhaps Rakuten will???   I am awaiting confirmation of shipping and don't know if it will come from the store or Rakuten, so it might not go through.   If I go through tenso, how do I find the replacement cord? Do I just place the order through e-earphone and put the tenso address then tenso mails it to me?   Tenso gave me their address in Japanese so I don't know what the city or prrovidence is to fill out the order at the store e-earphone.   How do you do it??

Just wanted to report that I did receive my 7550 replacement cable through Rakuten shipped by Tenso.   Total cost including shipping was just under $60.   Got it within a week, very fast from Tenso.

For better or worse?  I already ordered a couple of replacement 7550 cables from Japan (and hopefully will get them in a week or so),  but wondering curious about the ex1000 cables on the 7550.  Thanks.

I wanted to bump this thread because I was wondering if the connectors on a EX1000 will work on my MDR7550. I am thinking of buying a custom cable and most companies offer connections for EX1000 but none offer for the 7750. Any help would be appreciated!

I literally just received my Ex-1000 replacement cables for my MDR7550 today.  They most definitely fit, and sound slightly better (more bass, and also a bit more clear).  I got them off of U.S. Ebay for like $80; although it took about a month to get them.  Hope that helps.

Also, curious as to why a custom cable, instead of just ordering the EX1000 cable?

I wanted to see if custom cables could bring more clarity to the MDR7550, especially in the lower register. The IEM is by no means muddy, but seeing if I could make it just that much better is appealing.

How do you like the new cables compared to the old one?
