Well, I just picked up a pair of 7505's from the local music/dj store. Not to be confused with the 7506/V6's that I have also owned. These are a little different. From what I hear, they have the CD570 drivers in the V500 housing. All I know is, I like these better than the 7506's. The 7506's had a high end that somewhere in there really hurt my ears at moderate volumes. The low end (true low end) is definitely there, but the mids seem recessed to the point of being very cold. The 7505's don't go quite as low as the 7506's, but they go pretty darned low in their own right and have a more forward sounding midrange (not "warm" sounding by any means, still along the clinical side of the V6's, but way more midrange than the V6's). But that extreme high end isn't there like it is on the V6's either-- and that for me is a godsend.

Overall a great purchase considering I was looking for a good semi-closed can with a more "analytical" nature to it. No "shotgun booms" like a V700, and no shiny silver paint job either, but these will see quite a bit of use from me.

Anyone else have experiences with the 7505's?

thanks

I saw a pair of them before. How is the bass compared to the 7506? I like my v6 but I find that the highs are lacking. Quite the opposite of what most people think of them. I need 7506 bass with AKG highs.

well, its not as low as the V6's bass, more punchy and "in your face", midrange wise.... overall i find them easier to listen to than the V6's, but they're not as comfy due to the shape...
