I have just found a Sony MDR-5A, in very good condition. searching on the web, I found that they are really rare !
on  e bay, a pair is for sale at 1999 dollars...

have some of you heard about what appears to be a piece of museum ?
when  I listen to them I hear very precise and brillant highs and the medium are quite good. the bass is somehow not completely as present as the rest but sounds reasonably good, the fact is that I have quite a good deal of stax headphones and others, so, portable headphones will not sound as good as a lambda pro.
 
any experience about MDR-5A ?
