I dont like the ear hook on the original cable as it make it harder to roll and store them inside a hard case
And if i force them in they tend to become out of shape

I didn't like the original cable either, particularly when it broke...

But I'm very happy with the Fiio LC-3.5D.

And it all sits conveniently in this little case now.

recently bought this case for my z1rs. individual slots for each side and a place to put the cables, has padding inside and the outside is fairly hard.

One more refinement to my carrying case solution. I like this one even though the IEMs are in the same “compartment”. Everything feels like it fits. The cable wraps around the DAP and there’s no movement but no squishing either.

I appreciate the suggestion. But that’s way too big. I want something I can just drop in my laptop bag. I use either a messenger or briefcase type bag or a backpack.

That case is literally twice as thick as the pelican and is just too thick to be put in any laptop bag/case I have.

Instead, I bought the model that also holds the M15

Thanks for posting this. I'm really enjoying right now - in trashy FLAC 44/16. 😬 Have you heard the FLAC version and is upgrading to 96/24 worth the juice?

I'm also eager to get more classical recommendations. So many versions of so many pieces it's overwhelming to figure out where to start.
You may consider below if you enjoy Violin Concertos:
Vivaldi Four Seasons - Giuliano Carmignola (3-CD set, Brillinat Classics); Salvatore Accardo (SACD / Hi-Res, fone)
Mendelssohn Violin Concerto, Op.64 - Kyung-wha Chang (Decca CD); Arthur Grumiaux (Decca Japan UCCD 9809); Jascha Heifetz (RCA CD)
Mozart Violin Concertos (these performers are pretty good: Anne-Sophia Mutter, Yehudi Menuhin, David Oistrakh)

Enjoy.

Who knows if Led Zeppelin in 1976 could have ever imagined that 45 years later their music could be heard so well with such small systems ...
it doesn't take much to make the IER shine ... good music to everyone.

Agreed. Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are the first two I use to test new gear :)

Listening to this 96/24bit in “J” region and Walkman 1A with Midnight Plus. Stock 4.4mm cable. Just totally amazing!
Since you liked that one you might like this one in the same series as well

I love this sort of ear hooks, offers the best fit and comfort over earhookless, metal wire or pre-formed earhooks designs. Rolling and storing is always a non-issue for me, roll it every time I finished listening and it simply conforms to the form I roll the cable perfectly.
