Hey! A weird question! Can someone measure their Z1R so i can compare with my earimpression? Need to decide between z1r or u12t. But heard z1r needs to be tried before buying. And thats not possible for me. Thanks

From Gerelmex. On the left is hight from the tip, on the right is diameters at the various points

I know about that, i was talking about measurements of the IEM itself,so i can compare with my earimpression/earmoldn to check if it will fit:)

Had my IER-Z1R for a year now. Love them still. If I want a second pair of IEM that is similar to Z1R which ones I go for?

Z1R fit my LARGE ears so I am lucky, but they are heavy.

Similar to Z1R but lighter in weight? Maybe slightly more forward mids? Bass on Z1R is perfect, I don't want that to change.

I'm using Sony ZX507 as source.

you are so lucky!! I love my z1r but my right ear is abit smaller then my left and the body of the z1r really pushes the back side of my right ear.
Sound-wise the z1r is near perfect for me. The only iem with “similar” price range with good bass is the EE Legend-x. The treble isnt as extended as the z1r and the airiness cant be compared to the z1r.
I recently got the qdc Dmagic and I really like the tone and timbre but the technicalities is a tier or two below the z1r.
The other two iems that Im looking to replace the z1r is either the UM MEST or 64audio fourte but I havent had the chance to demo them out yet.

I remember somebody mentioned Xelastec improves the mids.

Get MH755 :)

Jokes aside, idk if there's anything like Z1R. Not as an all-rounder at least.

Anyone here try the Fir Audio M5?
Yes, i have both Z1r and M5. The Z1r have more powerfull bass, dept, treb extended with signature a little V-shape. It has the high and dept soundstage. The M5 is more neutral, balance. It also has more details,3D and separate than Z1r. It has the wide and depth soundstage. The fir M5 is easily to drive while Z1r need to more power to show all the best of them.

I was thinking it would be good if you could get a 3D print of iems for sizing - of course it wouldn't demonstrate the weight factor of the Z1R but you could at least see how the physical fit is.

After a few tracks with the z1r I am changing my mind. I am willing to sacrifice my right ear for the z1r.:)
