Update on my mod journey

It whoever considering mod, the whole iem will be unforgiving to bad record. Mostly due to the highs region will shows the details and bite and on the bad stuff can be harsh.

I guess the original form is to cover all those to make it a very laid back easy to listen iem.

so you have to weight in details, resolution vs easy listening

this was what I said all along. The Z1R can retrieve crazy details. That is why Sony opted for a universal foam filters. The trade off is to have a more musical and rather V-shaped signatures but easier and more musical to play well with almost all sources, even bad one

once you have a good source such as DMP- Z1 then you can do the mod with confidence to improve details and treble, also bring the signature to be less V shaped.

I also use it (modded) with Dx220ex and Amp8EX and have beautiful details without harshness

Good promo , once you spend 8,000 USD then you can mod your iem to sound better.

Anyone using triple flange tips with these? I have a pair from Mee that seems to work well, but they aren't perfect and just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions.

This is an average of the ratings given by the websites visitors. Just tried it, you don't even have to register to participate...

So one month the reviewer writes and people change the ratings ? So the rating in 2 years will be 0 ?

Looks like it, can't even find the original rating any more. Interesting system...

Any dap or cables suggestions for bit more warm sound, they are more bright for my taste. Currently using LG V40 with stock cable. I mostly stream music Sony daps may not work for me.

Isolation is better with large tips, but bit of struggle to fit it in.

A musical amp.

Which one??

did try with mojo and arrow. Doesn't sound good with mojo (not sure why), arrow is even bright

With LG high impedance trick. Vol at 30% is loud enough.
