To sum up the characteristic of this cable: much clearer mid to compensate for the softer mid of the Z1R, more body but does not create a darker/warmer sound or create any veil. Musical instruments sound much more real life, piano, drum, guitar etc. Better sound stage. Fast, very fast with an explosive dynamic character. Whispering clear and clean but not a hint of harshness. Sound is rounded. A fresh breath of air when compare to the stock cable, a lot of it.

I had mentioned earler in the thread that I purchased the X-6 cable from plussoundaudio.com that I like a lot. No memory wire on the ear, very comfortable, and it tightened the sub and mid bass and gave me a nice open bloom on the hi's. I'm very happy. He also has a model up from this the X-8 that I might pull the trigger on shortly.

And this is like the sony connection it fit tight without wiggling?

  5. jmills8
Tighten the bass = made the bass smaller ?

  6. Vitaly2017
    Maybe more firm and fast?

I so far love sony cable the most comfortable and microphonics none existant. Love it

I just did this super innovation to my ier-z1r to improve comfort.

Its easy pill off foam used to seal windows or ac lol on windows )

You can also see my diy on final type e hybrid with comply foams 20191107_224727.jpg 20191107_224710.jpg 20191107_224750.jpg 20191107_224735.jpg 20191107_224850.jpg 20191107_224802.jpg

Less wide = tighter. Fast = shorter bass sound

Or use velcro , stick one side in your ear.

Bro you gave your 2k+ IEM a toupee!

If comfort is that much of a problem I'd look into the M9.

Yes, the angled shape helps disconnecting the cable also. You are very creative with the velcro.
