I bought some extra medium hybrid tips in the U.S. from ecompass. Took around 10 days so. Note, it seems the can get the SML large sizes but so far they can't get the sizes in between like SM and ML.

If you really need MS or ML, might be able to get black: 473578501 and 473578401

EDIT: SS in black would be 473578601

They look just like the ones it ships with. I just got some of the hybrid ones and they look just like the stock ones.

For me the hybrid M tips are perfect so I ordered a few extra pairs. I also have some of the factory Sony black hybrid tips but I swear they feel and fit a little different than the stock translucent tips.

I’ve always felt the IER-Z1R and 1A/1Z we’re matched together. They ARE the Signature portable Sony products. That said I always stay on low gain with the Signature TA desktop and IER-Z1R. But with demanding music high gain sounds better using the Walkmans? Though I normally use low gain at all other times, with other IEMs.

Again Sony has reached a sweet spot. And while some feel even more power is better for the IERs; I feel the Walkmans are just right.
Not really. Very satisfying low low bass....those lowest octaves that are done to perfection.
I fully agree. I was worried from what I’d read that they would be bass monsters. The reality is that they appear to faithfully replicate what’s in the mix. I’ve listened to tracks where I’ve felt bass was lacking to feeling it was flabby and woolly. the only variable has been the track itself. And these examples are only at the extremes. 95% of the time the bass seems exactly where it should be.
I wasn’t sure about the 1er at first. But, after about 50 hours I’m loving them.

bass monster? Ha! Good expression! It’s really very bass accurate so I fully agree with your assessment?

I think they are just fantastic. I was A/Bing tonight with my Utopia and boy that was interesting. Z1R weren't quite as fast or detailed but really held their on overall musicality. Soundstage I think they there were wider. It's a very fun earphone.

I also love mine. . The bass as @KevP said is so accurate. 99% ofmthe time aound soo.good and accurate, until i stumble upon a bad.masterized album, like some disca of the Seutsche Grammophone Mozart edition that have lots of bass, then they aound like bass.monsters. Otherwise the bass reaches so deep.and.lowly low as @purk said. And the soundstage wow from.large choral works and symphonic to small string.quartets being.played on big halls, all well distributed.and spread
