I am guessing that will be WF-1000Xm4, but you never know! Fingers crossed

Yes seems most likely but hopefully a new high end IEM, oh and info on new DAPs while they are at it!

Who? Me or you? :)
Apologies for the misunderstanding, I was taking about myself. I’ve been lurking for an M9 for about a year and a half, very difficult to come across in the EU!

Bonjour

Yeah. I got mine just recently from A2A here in Australia. At $899 dolaroos. It was just too good deal to pass on. I initially thought they were too trebly (for my taste), but once I slapped Z1R cable and FA E series tips, things got so much better. Final E tips mellow the treble and boosted the bass which in turn made them sound more balanced. Z1R cable was a most significant upgrade over the stock one. M9 got more breathing room, more forwardness and the swing to them. I'd dare to say that stock cable don't do them justice at all.

Regards

Any idea how that cabl is different to the stock M9 with regards to the material that is used? From the description I would venture high purity copper, kind of similar to the one that Sony developed in collaboration with Kimber cable. Personally I’m tempted to try Linum or Onso, but tbh at the moment I’m just letting my ears settle on the stick signature. Also need to check the performance with scaled up rig, as I find that the M9 reflects its source quite a lot - not fully transparent, but definitely behaves like a monitor.

Well. On Sony's Japan web page. There's a teaser for headphones related announcement coming on 9th of June.
Where can we keep up with these developments? My Google skills came up empty.

Hey @CoryGillmore , do you mind sharing how/whether your Sony x Kimber balanced cable makes a difference compared to the stock one? I've been noticing a slight congestion on the low registers on the M9 and I wonder whether an upgrade cable makes a difference in this regard.
