Thanks for sharing. Too bad my ZX507 doesnt have parametric EQ. Am sure will benefit those reading this thread though.
Oh what a bummer. If u are using android phone, UAPP has some good peq performance so far ive tried for mobile. For desktop, a dedicated peq for spotify is Equalify Pro

The 'film' used in IER M9 is something similar to those used by Stax in their electrostatic headphones? Or the Sony proprietary drivers in these have anything to do with Sonion, or of EST type?
No, IER-M9 drivers are balanced-armatures not electrostatic tweeter.

I don't think M9 is a "reference" sounding IEM. It can be considered balanced. It is more a stage use IEM.

Exactly, if u want a flat IEM, not this M9, just buy cayin yb04, cheaper, flatter. Sq wise, i like the sound of yb04 given the price.

Hey I found this pic in the Solaris thread that perfectly explains my M9 insertion technique! It works especially well with the more stubby design of the SpitralDot++ tips! Give it a try for that DEEP insertion, son! Don't be a sissy, shove that thing in there DEEP, put a lil lube on there if you're scared!

I just figured out my JVC SpiralDot++ MS size (the green one) is equal to Sony S size (the orange one) ~ 11 mm diameter. which means if you guys using Sony MS eartips (yellow) should go for SpiralDot ++ M (red) ~12 mm

Reference would be a flat graph. Where you can mix withou the bias of a bumped earphone. For example mixing with a Legend X and the producer lower the low end because is too much on the LX. But when the general public listen to that song on a balanced earpohone/speaker, it will be lacking o low end.

M. From someone who used to use an LL hybrid. We’ve all been using tips that are too big, I’m convinced. The size M JVC is so perfect for me though. No suction effect, consistent fit every single day no matter what. I love the sound too and I actually have briefly gone back to Hybrids just to make sure it’s real.

I was using the M and MS hybrids before I picked up the ++ tips. But before that I was using the giant LL tips lol.
