someone mentioned that the cord of the sharps are extremely long. how long is it?

hello, long time reader, first time poster.

I just ordered the EX71's a while back for $33 (ducks and covers). I have not listened to them yet as they're awaiting my return from school, but from the general vibe I get from the forums is that they're not being recieved well and that they're better ones out there. But what I was looking for in my new pair of headphones is something that would: 1. not make a major dent my expensive school loans, 2. something with good sound isolation, 3. something better than iPod buds. So I really hope they fit the bill.

I'm not an iPod zombie/zealot tho... I got it as a gift for the holidays. There are better sounding portables out there, such as my old school Sony Discman with no skip protection and 1bit DAC

if you're going to spend 45 on the sharps, you might as well drop another 20 and get some used E2's ...
