The xelento hasn't much bad review, just high price, it a better iem than the ex1000, different SQ, but seems more fragile, the cable seems like if can come loose and the ear piece might drop off, that while I invested in the final audio cable costing over USD 250 and a extra USD 160 for the 4.4 pentaconn plug.

Yep, thats why i have all three EX monitor iem, I will probably pickup another pair of the ex1000 or ex800 during my visit to japan in november, the ex800 can be found for less the 10000 yen secondhand is excellent condition, although i do prefer the ex600, but it's hard to find one in excellent condition, brand new ones cost more than the ex1000 flagship.

Just ordered 2 pentaconn 4.4mm connectors, anyone got tips on doing the terminations on the ex1000 Cable? I have both ex1000 cable and ex600, just need to re terminate the actual ex1000 short cable and another full size cable with these 4.4

hello guys, my earphones just spoiled, previously ue900s. since ue didnt come out with new universals, im considering ex1000, xba z5 and fitear f111, which one do u guys think would suit me better? im open to other iems too. thanks

I have both Z5 and EX1000. I would recommend EX1000 but since it’s been so long that it has been released I have no idea how one will ship it to you in used or new condition.
Z5 on the other hand has been out for 3 years or more I think. It should be easy to get one at a good price but it sounds nowhere to an EX1000.

EX1000 can be acquired on eBay new or used. Japan seller is preferred since those models have the better cable as opposed to the EX1000 being sold in US or other places.
