Thanks for the link! Crap, another 20 bucks, oh well.worth a shot. Hey if you don't mind me asking, what was your reasoning for liking the 1000vs the andromeda? Only reason I even wonder is because the jupiter was in the running for me prior to getting the ex1000. It was really the xbaz5 or jupiter, because I liked my cheaper dual ba+dynamic. Sure glad I got the ex1000, but still wonder what that jupiter/andro offer.

One thing you should know about those Aurisonics tips is they don't keep their form over time. They get warped and whatnot. It can, ironically, make them tough to get a seal with.

I have had several hybrid types.

I have O.C.D (diagnosed..not the internet type the meds needed type) used to wash my hands 50 times a day and never touched handles, door knobs etc. I got much better after turning around 25 but it lingers.

TMI? No!

It happens with audio too,

I listen to Pink Floyd DSotM again and again and ....listening for musical cues and panning. After satisfaction... move to regular listening.

The Andro did not give me as wide a pan. It did not begin the pan as early as the ex1000 and the clarity of some items in the track were less clear on them.

For folks fixated on certain hard to catch sonic easter eggs the ex1000 are on another level. They are studio monitor clear while the Andro are more musical to use a term cuz i gotta use something. You need a seal that blocks out most outside noise before pushing play which can only get with the sureseal.

Hey just ordered the tips from that link you provided, but then realized there were 2 different options for the sure seals, bravo and 2.5 etc. Which one fits the ex1000?

@hemipowered007 I found the link @Hawaiibadboy sent out. I tried that site yesterday and could not get it to load. On a side note, I had Andromeda for a while and got a pair of EX1000's and was surprised at the difference in sound stage. I didn't think the EX1000 would have that much more in size. Putting the Andromeda back on after the EX1000 and realizing the difference was really surprising. I did sell the Andromeda and given the price difference The EX1000 is an amazing bargain at almost a third the price of the Andromeda.
