HI: What do you members think? The Sony CD3000 with their Hugh sound stage and very clear sound at only 32 ohms or what other headphone?

Lou ,

i think the buck stops here unless you wanna hunt for a grado HP-1 or a sony R10 which is very $$$ . aslo the expensive elctrostats.

Lou,
I'm sorry to ask, but why did you sell the RS-1 and keep the SR-225. I know the sonic signatures of the SR-225, but RS-1 should much smoother and much better sounding right? Anyway, I wish you have fun again w/ the CD3K. Welcome back to the CD3K team.

HI: I have kept the SR-225 and they sound fantastic on my portable rig. I will get the CD3000 for my home rig. And never buy another headphone. LOL Yeah sure Thats like never eating again. Somebody has to keep this forum at a steady change in headphones and amps. I am looking forward to the ANTNESS Watt pocket portable amp. I hope to be the first person to get it. Now if only there was something else that I could buy.

Heck, you've tried just about everything out there, right?

If you were closer, I'd let you borrow them, along with my K1000. too bad.

Lou,

Comfort and a huge soundstage make the Sony CD3000 you only option. I found that even with the RKV the Grado HP-1s didn't have nearly as big of a soundstage. Short of the R10s you will probably not find anything with a bigger soundstage from my experience. They may exist, but I have not heard them.
