I'm new to all this so just wondering if it normal that my MH750 don't get as loud as my other IEM's like KZ ZS10 Pro or CCA C12?

Need to crank up the volume on my source with the MH750 to get same volume I get with other IEM's.

I also tried my non-modded MH750 and they are also low volume compared to my other IEM'S... Sounds like these are low volume IEM's by nature?
111dB/mW kz zs10 pro
112dB/mW cca c12
100.5 dB/mW mh750

both IEM u mentioned have higher sensitivity than MH750

Thanks I'll be sure to look for sensitivity next time.

Out of curiosity is 100 db/mW considered normal or low?

I didn't even know you guys call them "CE tags"

Examples of CE Tags/Labels circa 2012 - 2015..new batches 2016 onwards, Sony Earphones no longer carries the CE tagging

anyone can summarize for both MH750/MH755?

1. 2012/2013 batch has non-center driver vent with CE tag?

2. 2014/2015 batch has center driver vent with CE tag?

3. 2016/2017 batch (L connector) has no CE tag, but has "MH750" wording on microphone, "MH755" wording on splitter?

4. 2018/2019 batch (Straight connector) has no CE tag, but has "MH750" wording on microphone, "MH755" wording on splitter?

5. Generally to differentiate real and fake: real with 2 solder dots, fake without?

So someone told me that my AG-0503 Mfg 2013 MH755 (ones with offcenter vent and two solder eyes, black nozzle mesh) were OEMs, not "authentic" and if they absolutely look like this they're legit

He also said that the SQ quality of the authentic pairs in picture have a very "noticeable difference in sound signature". Now I'm really confused. I wanna ask you @brianforever, if you have any thoughts with this? I'm really curious.

@captione Well..there are limitations to how the counterfeiters progress with creating exacting duplicates..in most cases they would fail, as the mould, presses and audio hardware are difficult to replicate as they are in the million $ value in R&D alone..so the fakes & authenticity thus are easily figured out on H/W variations and Codes/Model Types throughout the years from consumers..

And ironically, audio is subjective..I have a few friends who were also unable to decern which are the fakes or even the authentic, which they said were fakes too :) But nonetheless the physical aspects and the knowledge based acquired through the history of the series ( about 8 years) are means to an end and final assessments for the golden grail of Sony earphones :)

Edit/ @captione I believe that "someone" could also be at Sony, as the rare and discontinued TYPE: AG-0503 Mfg in 2013 is a Relic and no longer even talked about for a long time and unable to buy in any retail Sony Box package today :p

That's what I'm thinking too, the driver is too neatly made to be something of a counterfeit, so my pair might be on the lines of OEM side. I guess I'm pretty much assured with your words, kinda don't wanna regret purchasing what I poured my sweat and tears modding the hell out of it.
