Pretenders - "Brass in Pocket"

Kinks - "Lola"

EDIT: Remember, I heard all of these within a week of their first release.

I completely agree. I get goosebumps thinking about that song. Now i have it on three different cd's. (The single, Move - Boulder, and Initial D best Songs Collection)

what else....
Ramones - Teenage Lobotomy and Blitzkreig Bop (off of It's Alive)
Van Halen - Eruption
Anthrax - Black Lodge (Black Strings Mix)
Andrew W.K. - I Get Wet (the fill album. Still one of my fav's)
The Aquabats - Playdough (the hidden track on the Fury album)
Boss Tweed - Broken
Misfits - Where Eagles Dare
Katamari Fortissimo Damashii OST - Katamari On The Rock (opening theme to the game, a must watch every time I pop it in)
Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
Rocket From The Crypt - Straight American Slave
Slayer - Raining Blood

and a number of the tracks off of "We're A Happy Family - A Tribute to the Ramones" EXCEPT for the Metallica track, (shudders), the Offspring take on I Wanna Be Sedated (sounds sterile), and Rob Zombie's intrepretation on Blitzkreig Bop. Other than that, I was pretty much floored by the whole thing.

Tool - Lateralus

Especially at the end, right after the really silent part. That whole build up is incredible, and still give me shivers when I have time to really space out to some music.
