If you want some bad bass, the bass on Maroon 5's Songs About Jane is "Fidelity Challenged"

I don't know if it's the rip I acquired from the internet, or really the producing, but the bass is so incredibly boomy and bouncy, it's ridiculous.

If you want to go down that road, find some old Cindy Crawford recordings.

Yes, somebody once put her in front of a microphone and asked her to sing.

No, she can't.

I actually thought that Scar Tissue was the "cleanest" on the album in terms of clipping, though I'll agree that Otherside definitly won't show the goods of those 700 dollar cans you bought.

Whatever you choose from that bunch, then follow it up with Dave Mathews' "Oh Well". And you'll know just how GOOD the Darths can sound

What i find interesting about this thread is that everyone but me suggested recordings that will sound bad no matter how good the headphones are - and seemed to make a point of that - and now Skylab has suggested following it up with a track where the sound engineer turned the "warm" knob all the way to 11 on the digital mastering console.

What the hell happened to wanting to know how the headphone sounds?

That wasn't really what the OP was after, was it?

You have a point there. Maybe i was being presumptuous, since I take an overtly academic stance toward the way different headphones sound.

My vote for crappy, boomy bass must be Nelly Furtados latest album, Loose, I actually like the music but the soundquality is so bad that it is hard to get by.
