It could be.

That only helps the headband. The earpads are uncomfortable as well.

But as others have said, it’s ridiculous to pay over four grand and then have to spend more to improve comfort.

For the love of God, Hifiman only allocates $3 on build quality and yet almost all of their headphones are comfortable to wear.

Come on Abyss, you can do better.

Sometimes you change the frame/headband and comfort and you change the sound, and you don't want it changed. Maybe it softens the speed and transients? I don't know. That's the only reason I can think of.

That Abyss 1266 looks like a medieval torture device or a sexy sounding bear trap.. That frame is super rigid.. And looks uninviting. Love the sound but the aesthetics are terrible but strangely comfortable to wear once adjusted for the user's head.
