Something better than DT 770 Pro (80 Ohm) for gaming?

Hi,

I'm using Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro (80 Ohm) for gaming for a while now, and while I love the comfort, great sound isolation and long cable, I started to see that I don't hear everything as I should in games - I feel like I'm missing lower frequencies and some mids, mainly in casual games. I did a test, and switched to Creative Aurvana Live! for playing Control (good example of recent casual game) - and the sound impressions I get are much better (the game may be bass / low frequencies dependent).

Are there any logical choices for headphones for gaming, that will be more suited for casual games? I would love something with Beyerdynamic comfort, preferrably closed (but not required), but with more bass and overall 'punch' in them. CAL sound good, but they are really uncomfortable after 1h, and build quality is poor.

Are Philips Fidelio X2HR a good idea? I know they are open though. I'm open for any other suggestions, thank you.

The DT770 do best with a lot of voltage, like a tube amp.
Check out the Soundmagic HP151 headphones.

I love the x2hr for gaming. Easy to add a long cable, great soundstage with open design. Clear and precise, not muddy at all. Doesn’t necessarily need a amp, but responds well to one. I use the x2hr or my akg k240s, two of the most comfy headphones I have for wearing for a long time.

Cantabile and EQ will solve the frequency problem. I have each channel with different preset. I'm not home rn but I can share some of my presets with you. I had 770 pro for short period. they are good isolation HP but fatigue da hell out of my ears.

I got X2HR. They are OK for gaming, but I'm surprised how bad they sound for music - very, very bad for my taste. DT 770 Pro sound a couple of classes better, even CAL! sounds better. I was connecting directly to the PC, no amp.

It was so bad I started thinking that something is wrong. I did a test, and used them in another room, and connected to an amp (JDS Labs Atom) - night and day of difference, excellent sound quality. How is it possible? I thought that those headphones don't require an amp to sound good? Right now it's like 3/10 (sound quality wise) with direct PC connection, vs 8/10 when connected to an amp (different PC though).
