So, I've had a pair of Grado 325 cans that have intermittent problems with cutting out. I have a replacement OEM Grado cable and all that needs to be done is to separate the earcups and solder the new cable on. I think the problem is just a loose connection in the ear cup, so the new cable should take care of it.

Anyone up for this? Or know someone that would be willing to do it for me?

I'm in the Nashville area and would love to find someone local, but I'm totally willing to ship.

Getting Grado earcups apart is a little tricky. Also, soldering directly to the driver requires a light touch. So you're best to go with someone who's done this before.

Yeah, that's exactly why I won't undertake this myself. I've done full wiring harnesses in cars, but that delicate touch gets me every time...

Send it back to Grado. If it's just a bad solder connection the new cable wouldn't be needed.
