dude,... damn man, that sucks. i parked my car where i used to work, and someone smashed the rear side too.

i dunno what is up with all these honorless pieces of crap, sorry excuses for humanity...

just 2 days ago i was driving on the freeway and stopped in traffic. not even suddenly... just kinda stopped. the guy in back of me stopped too, but this huge pickup suddenly rams him and pushes him nearly into me! then i saw the pickup start to take off, so i chased him down and got the liscense plate. pulled over then ran back to tell the dude the plate number... he was really thankful.

cops called yesterday for a statement and told me they found the guy's house but he wasn't home.

.......life just ain't fair. hate these honorless buttholes. what REALLY gets to me is that the driver of the car that got hit doesn't look like he could afford to drive anything at all!--some younger kid with dirty crooked teeth, cheap clothes, and a foreign accent. was a brand new civic or something like that. brand new. the kid probably spent every last penny he's been saving forever to get that car..... didn't even have time to enjoy it.

well, anyway... sorry bout your car.

most likely the person was

1-high and or drunk
2-uninsured
3-insured but a piss poor driver so another accident would mean they would be dropped
4-just an heartless person who cares for no one but themself

The first three would be reason for some not to stick around, the fourth just the way many in society act tyese days.the ME generation that will run over you or through you then laugh in your face.
Hopefully someone seen it and you get some justice but even then most don't want to get involved

Oh I just have to vent... I've been having a loadful of car issues too.

Just a couple of weeks ago, my car - hardly 1 month old - got hit by this bike. Ok, it was 2 kids riding on that motorbike... they were probably around 15 years old.

No driver's license, no helmuts (********* miracle they didn't die), and no license plate on their bike!!!!!

I was turning into my driveway when the brats decided that it'll be faster for them to just "zip" off my side instead of stopping. Next thing I know, they crashed into my rear right door.

At first I was shocked and feared that the riders might be seriously injured. Lo and behold, the two brats go little more than a few scratches... picked up their bike and fled even while I was trying to ask if they are ok.

I was left with a deep scratch on my rear door, a dent above the wheel well, a battered rear wheel, and a tear on the right "skirt."

Speechless my friends.

What's worse, now that I got my car fixed, this manager in my company's admin. dept decides that it's an opportune time to prate about how I should not be using my co-worker's parking permit.

Well, I still have to freaking pay for parking with that permit (not like it's free). And given that public transport is a hopeless enterprise in my city, what am I suppose to do? Walk to work?!!

People like these should thank God we now have laws against assault and manslaughter. Somedays man, I wish we still have rights to trial and combat.

Yes, autos truly bring out man's inhumanity to man. I commute a lot and people just seem to go nuts in their cars. Some guy was gesturing and screaming (silently through his window) at me last night for no good reason. For some reason he thought I was trying to get around him in a situation where two lanes converged into one. I mean, I slowed down to let him go first - no problem buddy, I got a two hour drive, saving five seconds doesn't me a ****ing thing to me. I mean, I'm the most mellow driver because I drive so much. I let everybody in, and seldom pass, it's not worth the indigestion to try and race people. But this guy either had a fight with his wife or was just looney and wanted to start some kind of on the road joust. I think he was shocked that I wasn't the least bit interested and just slowed down and let him drive off, ranting. Camus was right, hell is other people. I really dislike them most of the time.

WHY CAN'T PEOPLE DRIVE!!!!???? Didn't we all go to driver's ed? Don't we all have to take a driver's test? Yet, 85% of all the jerks on the road tailgates one another. It just makes you want to scream. Can't they figure out that the stop and go traffic created by tailgating (as they have to hit their brakes because they're following someone a single car length behind) SlOWS THE TRAFFIC DOWN. Arrrggghh. If everyone left 3-4 seconds between cars, traffic would flow! No stop and go! People are so ****ing stupid. If the cops made tailgating the number one traffic ticket, people might be more aware and the road would be better for everyone! If feel like Robert Logia in "Lost Highway": DON'T ****ING TAILGATE!

Anyway, I got off topic. But it's also sort of related, if you know what I mean.

Ouch that looks nasty.....hope you have full coverage auto insurance! Still you may have to pay your deductable and have claim on record and hassle/inconvenience of getting repaired.

I can only imagine how much that damage will run but I suspect @$2,000 to fix plus cost of rental car while repairs done so maybe even $3,000 possible.

BTW, nice car Bong, how much does that model Mercedes go for retail?

If you can afford a Mercedes, you can afford the repairs. Was it fully insured? I figure it'll cost about $6000 - $8000 to repair (it is a Benz, after all...)

It's a bummer, but what are you going to do? Getting upset and depressed serves no purpose but to poison your soul. Just hope that it doesn't go in 'threes'.

Keep a stiff upper lip. "This too shall pass."

I had a friend who went to sleep and awoke to find her Subaru XT in the middle of the intersection. It had been hit in the middle of the night so hard that it moved about 150 feet. Ah, the benefits of living in NYC...

A friend of mine had his parked car hit hard enough to be moved 5 car lengths. The driver that hit the car was a 16 yr old girl with her learner's permit. She was driving by herself and the wrong way on a one way street at like 1 AM. Yet somehow, my friend was considered partly responsible for the accident? He wasn't even in the car, and it was properly parked.

They both had Progressive insurance.

Hah, I knew Oregon would be up there. Those California drivers are freakin crazy. That really sucks about your car man. Its just a sign of the increasing number of people that refuse to take responsibility for their actions.
