having both the v6 and the sr-60, i'd rather use the sr-60 for my daily commute on the subway (that should be an indicator of how much i dislike the v6's sound). and in fact i did use the sr-60's portably until i upgraded to MS-1's.

Torbaap---

212 is a 64 Ohm phone and so should be driven pretty easily. Tell us what you think of em once you listen to em; you can write the first official HeadFi review of em and win a special prize...

delenda -- the 212 is 32 ohm. Were you thinking of the 280?

torbaap -- don't worry about not being an audiophile. To tell you the truth, most of us aren't audiophiles either. We just know there must be something better than the $10 Sonys that most people have. We also have an unnatural urge to share our our opinions even though we don't know what the heck we're talking about.

V6's with Beyer pads would cost just about as much as the cheapest online price for the 280's...I haven't heard the 280's, and I like my V6's a lot. It would be a tough choice if I didn't have the V6's already.

Sorry Hamsterball! You are correct; the 212s have an impedance of 32 Ohms, not 64. It's Those New SLICSOUNDS From CHINA That I Have Mounted On My Senn MX500s; The Sound Is So Grate That I Am Forgetting Minor Factual Details...
