How does the DJ1 PRO perform? I like the ultra-compact fold up design (folds up better than their other models), and the detachable cables. Is the detachable cable terminated on the headphone amp with a standard 1/8" jack (3.5mm)?

These are very highly regarded on other web sites.. I know one well respected site that gave them 4 out of 5 rating. http://www.geocities.jp/ryumatsuba/

If you can figure out the translation page on Google and do this for this site you will be well rewarded. Lots of information and headphone evaluations.

Im not sure if I remember correctly, but there was some DJ here that preferred normal DJ1 over Pro model. Search for Ultrasone DJ1, you might find the thread where that headphone is reviewed.

same few issues with the prolines, 50mm driver kinda overkills on the bass. will not sound good at all with no amplification, powers nicely from mixers and such though. what exactly will you be using these for? both cables terminate in 1/4" with a 1/8: adapter.

oh, a gamer. they suck for gaming, resolutions doesnt compare to models with gold/titanium drivers, might as well spend the extra few dollars for HFI-2200's youll get a better soundstage as well as accuracy in avatar distance/position.

just plain listening; like the design (it folds up 'better' than other Ultrasones) better than the HFI series, and I can't stand the blue of the PROlines.

the pro version folds up exactly the same, same cups same headband. its just a different color.

the HFI's(sub 2200ULE) and the DJ1 have the other cup design, and all of those cans fold up the same.

as a little recommendation, go to alienwares website, they carry the Ozmas, wich are made by ultrasone. those cans, apart from the higher end ultrasones are actually worth their cost. and both ozma models fold up just the same as the DJ1 and HFI designs.
