I'm searching for a good pair of earphones. I'll be using them with the FiiO X1 2nd Gen.
 
I mostly listen to Metal. From Dream Theater, to Avatar, to Metallica, from BABYMETAL to Maximum the Hormone, I really love my Metal Music. However, I also really enjoy classical compositions. I need something that delivers a punchy bass, but it mustn't be overwhelming. I need a balanced sound, well executed lows, and need to be able to hear the Bass (instrument), very low Guitar notes, and whatnot. The Mids & Highs are much more important. I need them to be perfectly executed as well. Well, as much as possible anyways. There's only so much 400$ (CAD) can get you... I've got my eyes on RHA MA750's. The RHA CL750's have my attention as well.
 
DO NOTE THAT 400$ IS MY OVERALL BUDGET FOR MY AUDIO PLAYER & IEM'S. AND YES, I KNOW ABOUT THE SD CARD...
 
I'm open for suggestions. Please, do educate me. I'm pretty new, but aspire to achieve perfect audio. So, baby steps... I'm starting with the FiiO X1 2nd Gen., and need a suitable pair of earphones...

Check out the Shure Se215's. I reccomend these to everybody, I can't say enough good things about them.

Hi, The RHA's will pair up with your Fiio. Fit may be an issue the seal is imperative to get the most of the earphone. Maybe check out Trinity Audio Engineering esp the Delta's They have various tuning filters to tweak the SQ. Both companies have stellar customer.

The ma750 are very good for metal (to me at least) and well within your budget. I have them paired with the x1 first gen and they sound great. The cl750 would require an amp, so make sure to factor that into your budget if you try them out.
