So, this is what i have in mind.

For audio listening:

- Built-in MB soundcard
- Schiit Uber Modi2/Magni2
- JBL LSR305
- Audio Technica ATH-M40X (C) and ATH-AD700X (O)

For audio recording: (Guitar and vocals)

- Steinberg UR22 MKII (Or UR242 if i can squeeze +$50 from my shallow wallet)

My question is... How in the hell do i connect all this stuff together?! The audio listening part is pretty straight forward, but
how do i add the external sound card to the setup?

Maybe adding a A/B switch DI Box to the mix will do the trick...?

I thank you in advance,

My king regards
Mike

You simply completely bypass the internal sound card by connecting the Modi to a USB-port of your PC. The Modi connects to the Magni with RCA cables and you can use your headphones directly from the Magni.

The JBL is a bit more complicated, as it only has balanced inputs. Therefore you need an adapter that goes from an unbalanced RCA output (the output from your Magni Uber 2) to a balanced output. Something like this:

The Audio interface can simply be connected to a different USB port. No need for switches or anything like that. they can run parallel.

Thank you. I am aware of that and i also have a Bal/Unbal adapter somewhere that i bought a few yeas ago.

All the other equipment i mentioned, i tested/tried except for the UR22, so my real issue would be with it's headphone out.
If it sucks, i would like to bypass it and use the Magni. That's why i mentioned the DI Box (Dunno what i was thinking when i typed AB Switch previously...)

Thank you. The setup is complete.

This was a birthday gift for a friend, she is quite pleased with it.

For future reference, the Steinberg's UR22 is a pretty decent external soundcard, but, as expected, the headphone out doesn't have enough
power to drive, for instance, my HD600's, or even the M40X's to it's full potencial.
Good DAC and overall a very decent unit
