Hi,

This is a pair of vintage Beyer DT48 - Serial No.108 - which I suppose means it's from the '50s, if they started production in 1951. The fact that it's a 5 Ohm version, with red and black colour-coded cups and separate termination for each side means it's an audiometric model... does that make it a DT48A? It's just designated "DT48" on the phone itself.

When I got them they had a DT48S-type grey headband and circumaural earpads, but the foam in the pads had perished away to powder so I replaced them with new DT48A.00 rubber audiometric pads. The headband matches and works fine so I kept it in place. I can give you the original (deflated) pads as well if you like - I also have a stereo adapter that I can throw in, nothing special.

I'm looking for $150 USD plus shipping for these beauties - through PayPal only, so I'll absorb the fees. Thanks for your interest.

No, I think it's the standard German abbreviation of Serialnummer, or serial number - as Nummer is usually abbreviated to Nr.

Hi - yes, I'm supplying a stereo adapter with the phones. Just RadioShack, but it does the job - if you were gonna get serious about it you could have them recabled with a stereo plug
