The MID is smoother and more natural sounding than the Corda. At $500, it scales well with the price/performance ratio. Haven't heard it with the AKG-K1000 but if it was a good match it would be an unbeatable value.

I highly recommend this amp to anyone in the market for a high-end, powerful amp with a great upgrade path. It's the one piece of equipment I'd keep out of all my stuff. (Unless of course, someone wants to trade for a blockhead
)

Where would the volume be set on this thing for driving a pair of ety ER4P/S out of a CDP?
