Sol Republic Tracks HD (V10) require an amp?

Hey guys,
 
I recently bought a pair of these Tracks V10's. I'm constantly after better sound quality from my desktop. Would I benefit from hooking these up with an amp? If so, any suggestions?

Unless you are on a laptop with a seriously under powered HO, no you won't. I've listened to those on basically every portable device I have and they all powered them effortlessly.

An amp might make them louder if that is what you are looking for. And a bright amp might benefit them. But it isn't necessary nor guaranteed that the sound quality will improve. And they don't really scale up with added power.
