Although I love my SR225s, I'm looking for some cans that are more suited to softer music such as GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR and SIGUR ROS. I think a warmer sound and bigger soundstage will help.

Any models I should particularly be looking at?

Budget around $150

That should be a HD580 or HD600 - the HD650 is out of budget, I fear.

I personally enjoy my DT880 very much with Sigur Ros and Múm, but I wouldn't call that performance warm.

Might be able to pick up a used K501 or K601 in that range. Or an older DT990 (and there's nothing wrong with that)
