Yesterday's event was great fun, we were booked almost entirely solid for the day.

If you attended and enjoyed the event, would you mind starting an impressions thread? These events are very expensive for vendors to put on, and your support in sharing impressions allows us to keep doing smaller events for the community.

Also, a huge shout out to @thesourceav for hosting this. It was a unique and great venue, where we could have private rooms to get real listening time without the typical background noise of meets and shows.

Even more disappointing, Mrspeakers himself asked if someone could open an impressions thread 2 days ago...no one did anything.

Well, some folks did post some impressions, just nobody opened a new thread.  It really does help vendors support events like this if people share impressions, the events themselves almost never cover the costs of showing up, so the community aspect of sharing the experiences really matters.  
 
I'm not sure why, but it seems like over the last year the number of detailed show and meet impressions has been declining a bit, which I think is unfortunate both for head-fiers who couldn't attend and vendors who invested to participate.

​I have to (somewhat sheepishly) admit that I don't know how to start a new thread so I posted my impressions in existing threads. I will do some research and do better next time. I agree that it would be great to see more impressions. Although I was lucky enough to attend (and what a great event it was!) I would like to compare my impressions to that of others. I have my sonic preferences that color my impressions so everybody benefits when more people share what they heard. I'm sometimes a bit hesitant to share my impressions because I find it difficult to put what I hear into words, but I guess the only way to get better at it is to keep doing it. Also, these events are fun! Great gear, great people, good times.

Ah, so this is easy!  Just click on Forums then "Meets, Get togethers and..." then "Head-Fi meet impressions..." and you'll see "start a new thread" about 6" down on the left...

Anyone took a pic of the Ether electrostat?
I couldn't find pics and Dan said "We will still be making a few changes to the metal; this won't quite look so ETHER when we're done.  " so I'm curious to see how it looks.

The metal changes likely won't be shown until we're in production.  Prototypes we're now showing have the full production driver assembly but are still using ETHER baffles and gimbals.  Stay tuned...
