The trip down the rabbit hole of audio...

My new Little Dot MKII arrived today...
Currently running my Dual 1246 into a Rolls VP29, then into the Little Dot

This is a bit of a different listening experience with no 15 band EQ, or Bass Extension that I usually run on with my Yamaha amp..

The headphones are cheap Skullcrusher Riffs... until the Grado SR225e arrives tomorrow ...

So far, I'm digging it...

Tube rolling starts Saturday, when the matched pair of Raytheon 6AK5 EF95 Black Plates arrive

Where did you order them from? My RCA Black plates were supposed to arrive today, and are delayed...

The Voshkods I have been eyeing, the store is not currently shipping...

Tube rolling my Little Dot MKII.. my 1974 vintahe Raytheon 6AK5 pair arrived today.

Putting on Mr. Clapton's Unplugged again for a comparison...

Compared to the Stock Chinese tubes, these are mellower sounded... Fuller bass, treble isn't as shrill... mid range is nice... I'm liking it...

And thanks for the link for the Voshkods... ordered a pair tonight...

Received the Novosibirsk 6H6pi tubes I ordered... threw them in to give them a go...

Instant improvement of the soundstage... sounds very wide, improvement in the low end as well, a bit more bass, tighter too.

On the Grados yet? I can't imagine anything sounds too good on crushers but I do love Grado and I bet you'll be very happy with the upgrade yourself.

Yes.. for about a week.

Incredible difference, even better after upgrading the head band pad...

I am hooked... although I might try some G style ear pads...
