OMG, last time I looked at iRiver flash players, there were only 2 series, 100/700. And now there are 8 official series in the U.S..

Will you guys help me!? They all seem basically the same but different plastic cases

. I mean if that is the only difference between them, should I just go for the cheaper one?

I'll list what I need in order:

1. Radio compatibility + good reception,
2. ease of use
3. Durable (mainly for workout)
4. Size (smaller the better)

Oh and are there better flash players now? Screw the Nano btw, I am not touching such a controversial electronic!

iAudio 5 and iAudio G3 seems to be better in spec than iRiver.

I am planning on getting a player for my dad, and I am looking at iAudio 5 and G3 right now.

Although iRiver says their flash support ogg, it does not support up to Q10 I believe. The iAudio 5 and G3 both support ogg up to Q10.

Between iAudio and iRiver, look for the cheaper one and the preferred battery type. iAudio U2 is one of the smaller and lightest models, and uses rechargable battery. A lot of the iRiver models like 1xx/3xx/7xx/8xx are sort of 3-sided and not flat and gumstick shaped- good battery life though. ifp-7xx and ifp-8xx seem to be the same, just slightly different in terms of looks.
