And they're not too bad.

I was at the Vans warped tour and saw a Hip Hop booth. there were some B-Boys there in the skullcandy tent and had a HUGE linoleum mat, and were breakin. So after I intro'd myself, they made me part of thier show and I was breakin a little bit. I met the guys(Massive Monkeys), and they were supposed to come jam with us (Main Ingreedyentz), but they never returned my calls. They gave me those free cans though.
I was skeptical as hell at first, but after I plugged them in, they weren't too bad! I was expecting bloated, nasty, muffled sound...but honestly, I got the exact opposite and ended up getting a decent set of cans. Let me tell you, these DO NOT have bass. For SKullcandys I was expecting bloat, but these have absolutely no impact, but jesus christ on the mids and highs. The highs get REALLY sprakly and bright and can get fatiguing depending on the track being played. In all honesty, they sound like Grado's...but maybe not nearly as refined. They're definitly more sparkly than KSC75's, and lots less veiled. The music does seem like it's missing some detail, but what $30 cans don't when your directly comparing them to RP21s and UM2s?
I would say give them a listen, but at $30(msrp...they an be found for $20 easily), some may find that a little hard to swallow just to see if it sounds good. Not quite my cup of tea since I'm a basshead, but some of you guys might find it fairly refreshing. Great for those that don't dig earclips and want a dece can. If there were a mod to get some bass in them...I think we may have a new KSC75 competition, but it sure as hell is bright and sparkly...
